Tamam freelancer terms

Last updated 4 November 2026

These terms apply to technicians who use the Tamam app to take Arjook jobs. Please read them to the end. You agree to them by tapping Accept agreement when you apply in the app, and they apply to every job you take.

1.The main points

  • Subcontractor: every job you take on Tamam, you take as an independent subcontractor to Arjook, not as an employee. That is the commitment you make.
  • Membership: being on the Tamam app costs BHD 10 a month. It is a separate charge from your job earnings.
  • Responsibility: you are responsible for your work, your safety and any loss or damage you cause.
  • Arjook shirt: you must wear the Arjook shirt whenever you are on a customer's site.

2.About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Arjook Services (خدمات أرجوك), an individual establishment registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Commercial Registration No. 196109-1 ("Arjook", "we"). Tamam is run in collaboration with Arjook.

Customers book through the Arjook app under Arjook's own terms. These terms cover your side: joining Tamam, taking jobs and getting paid.

3.Who can join

  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You hold a valid CPR and are legally able to work in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • You have the skills, and any licences the law requires, for the trades you pick.
  • You hold any commercial registration or permit the law requires for you to work as a subcontractor in Bahrain.
  • You have your own tools for those trades.
  • You have one Tamam profile only, in your own name.

4.Your account and approval

You verify your mobile number with a code sent by SMS and choose to sign in with Apple or Google. Your Tamam account is separate from any Arjook account you have.

Before you can take jobs, you give us a selfie and photos of both sides of your CPR, and we check them. We decide whether to approve you. We may ask you to redo a photo, for example if your face does not match your CPR, and we may refuse or withdraw approval if the details cannot be checked or are not accurate.

Before you apply for each job you take a new selfie, so we know the right person is going to the job. Keep your details up to date and do not let anyone else use your account or go to a job in your place. You are responsible for what happens on it.

5.You work as a subcontractor

Arjook takes each booking from the customer and subcontracts the work to you. Every job you take on Tamam, you take as an independent subcontractor to Arjook. This is the commitment you make when you join and each time you take a job.

You work for yourself. You are not an employee, worker, agent or partner of Arjook, and nothing in these terms creates an employment relationship. Arjook does not owe you a salary, allowances, paid leave, end-of-service pay or social insurance.

You decide when to go online, which jobs to take and how to carry out the work, within these terms and the law. There are no minimum hours.

You are responsible for your own tools, transport, phone, taxes and any licences or insurance your work needs. Do not say you are employed by Arjook, and do not sign anything or make promises on its behalf.

6.Membership

Being on the Tamam app and taking jobs needs an active membership. It costs BHD 10 a month, or the price shown before you pay if we change it. It starts once you are approved.

The membership is separate from your job earnings. It pays for being on the app. It is not a share of any job, and paying it does not promise you any jobs or income. It is due every month until you stop it, whether or not you take jobs that month.

Membership renews every month until you stop it. If a renewal is not paid, you can finish the jobs you already have but cannot take new ones.

You can stop renewing at any time. Your membership stays active until the end of the month you paid for. Membership already paid is not refunded for part of a month, unless the law requires it.

We will tell you in the app at least 30 days before any price change takes effect. Payment is processed by Tap Payments, and we never see or store your full card number.

7.Consultations

A consultation job shows a fixed amount you get. The first approved technician to tap Offer services is assigned the job.

Once assigned, go to the customer at the agreed time, inspect the problem and record a voice note in the app so that a report can be written for the customer. If you cannot attend, hand the job back in the app straight away.

8.Work + parts jobs and your offers

After a consultation, the work may be opened to every Tamam technician. You can send an offer with your price for the labour and when you can do the work. Parts are paid back at cost and are not part of your price.

The customer picks one offer in the Arjook app. Sending an offer does not guarantee you the job.

If you are picked, confirm the final price on site before you start. The customer approves it in the Arjook app, and you must not start work until they have.

9.Doing the work

Do the work with reasonable care and skill, safely and in line with the law. Only do the work the customer has approved.

Treat customers, their homes and their belongings with respect. Use their details and anything you see in their home only for the job.

Add the photos and receipts the app asks for, and mark the job done only when it is finished.

Once you take a job, you are committed to it. Arrive at the agreed time and do the work yourself. If you cannot make it, hand it back in the app straight away. Repeated lateness, no-shows or hand-backs can lead to suspension.

Never work under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and never harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone. Leave the site clean and tidy when you finish.

10.The Arjook shirt

You must wear the Arjook shirt for the whole time you are on a customer's site, on every job, from the moment you arrive until you leave, so the customer knows who has come to their home. We will tell you how to get your shirt once you are approved.

You may wear it on your way to a job and on your way back, but you are only required to wear it on site. Do not wear it at any other time, or for work that did not come through Tamam.

Keep the shirt clean and in good condition. If you turn up without it, the customer may refuse the visit and we may give the job to someone else. Repeatedly not wearing it can lead to suspension.

The shirt identifies you to the customer. It does not make you an employee of Arjook, and it does not change anything in the section on working as a subcontractor. Use Arjook's name and logo only in this way.

11.Payments and weekly payouts

The customer always pays inside the Arjook app. Never ask for or accept cash, bank transfers or any other payment from a customer.

Arjook pays your earnings every week to the IBAN you add in the app: the consultation amounts you earned, the labour price you set for work the customer approved, and the parts paid back at cost. The account must be in your name.

We may hold a payout while we look into a complaint, a refund request or suspected fraud. If a customer is refunded because the work was not done, or not done properly, we may take the amount for that job from a later payout.

12.Parts and receipts

Parts are paid back at cost. Buy parts that are new and right for the job, unless the customer agrees otherwise, and do not add anything on top of what you paid.

Keep the receipt for every part and add it to the job in the app. We may refuse to pay back parts without a clear receipt.

13.Customers stay in the Arjook app

Every Tamam job is an Arjook booking, and the customer relationship stays in the Arjook app. Do not offer or arrange work with an Arjook customer outside the apps, share your own contact details for that purpose, or take payment directly. This applies during the job and for 12 months after it.

Use the customer's name, phone number and address only to carry out the job. Taking customers off the platform can lead to suspension or removal from Tamam.

14.Ratings

Customers may rate a job after it is done. Your ratings and the number of jobs you have done may be shown to customers when they compare offers, and we may use them when deciding on approval or suspension.

Do not offer anything in return for a rating, rate your own jobs or pressure customers about their rating.

15.Suspension and removal

We may pause or end your access to Tamam if you break these terms, if your CPR or right to work can no longer be confirmed, if there are safety concerns, repeated complaints or low ratings, if we suspect fraud, or if your membership is not paid.

Where we can, we will tell you why. If you think we got it wrong, email arjook.support@gmail.com and we will review it.

16.Leaving Tamam

You can leave at any time from the Account tab with Leave Tamam. You cannot leave while a job is in progress or while we still owe you a payout, so finish or hand back the job and wait for the payout first.

When you leave, your Tamam account is deleted for good: your login, name, phone number, profile, offers and support messages. Your membership stops renewing, and your selfies, CPR photos and profile photo are deleted. Records of finished jobs and payments are kept as the law requires. Any Arjook account you have is separate and is not affected, and you can apply to Tamam again later.

17.Your data

Our Tamam privacy policy explains what we collect about you, including your CPR and your location while you are online, and how we use it.

18.Your responsibility and our liability

  • Your work: you are responsible for the quality of your work. If it turns out to be faulty, you put it right with no extra charge for your labour.
  • Loss and damage: you are responsible for any loss, damage or injury you cause to a customer, their home, their belongings or anyone else. Tell us the same day if this happens.
  • Your safety: you are responsible for your own safety and safety equipment. If a job looks unsafe, stop and tell us. Arjook does not provide insurance for you.
  • The law: you are responsible for following the law, including any permits, licences, registrations and taxes your work needs.
  • Claims: you agree to cover Arjook against claims and costs that arise from your work or from breaking these terms.
  • Tamam itself: Tamam is provided as is and as available. To the extent the law allows, Arjook is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of earnings when the app is unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.

19.Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. We will post the new version in the app and on this page and change the date above. Continuing to use Tamam means you accept the changes.

What you owe or are owed, your responsibility for past work, and the rule on Arjook customers still apply after you leave Tamam.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute.
